- Commercial air curtains are used in places where customer entrances and exits are intense, such as business centers, banks, hotels, shops, restaurants, markets, hospitals. There are varieties with 2 meters, 2.3 meters and 2.9 meters hanging heights according to the door height. The width may vary according to the door width.

- Industrial air curtains are used in places with door heights up to 6 meters, such as garages, factories, sports halls. Modular types are used for door heights up to 4 meters, and special type industrial air curtains are used for doors between 4 meters and 6 meters.

- Cold room air curtains are used in cold room, cold storage doors, preventing energy loss during material entry and exit, as well as ensuring that the cold room conditions do not change. In many European countries, the use of split PVC curtains is not allowed, as the food materials must not touch anywhere during the transfer to the cold room. For this reason, air curtains are widely used in cold room entrances, thus providing cleaning rules and providing better energy savings compared to PVC curtains.

2. Air curtains according to mounting type

- Over-the-door models: These are the most used and most efficient air curtains. Since the most air flow is at the top of the door, blowing from the top of the door will more easily prevent the energy loss that occurs with the air flow.

- Vertical air curtains: In cases where it is impossible to install on the door or if it is preferred from an architectural point of view, vertical air curtains can be installed next to the door. In this way, the height (length) of the air curtain will be equal to the door height. Depending on the width of the door, the air curtain can be located on one or both sides of the door.

- Concealed ceiling models: If there is a suspended ceiling at the entrance of the building, if the air curtain is desired to be invisible, concealed ceiling types can be used. Only the vent of the air curtain placed in the suspended ceiling is visible. The supply and suction fins must be on the same vent, at different angles.

3. Air curtains according to the heating energy

Air curtains are generally preferred as heated in seasonal conditions in Turkey. However, in the southern regions, which are used only in summer conditions, ambient air types can be preferred. In some places where the cooling capacity is not sufficient, it may be requested to pass the refrigerant through the air curtain in summer in order to supplement the cooling system. In this case, it is necessary to order a special device with a condensation pan. In fact, since the cooling capacity is provided by fan-coolers or air ducts, no additional cooling is expected from the air curtain, but when deficiencies are encountered, it is possible to provide this addition with an air curtain. Apart from this special case, it is possible to classify air curtains according to the following heater types.
